Where to go in December

Any suggestions for late december? We would like to spend less than 4K but it looks like that time of year is double the price!

In the VI from Dec 18 until Jan 3 or so is the most expensive time of year.  Kids are out of of school and it's really, really busy here.  Even with the prices are doubled we are 100% booked.. It's crazy.

I would looking into adult only options.  They might be a little cheaper because they do not allow kids and families are not going to leave their kids during the holidays.

My FI and I have decided to go to Aruba. Aruba is pretty reasonable and has been getting great comments from the Honeymoon Board. Both Mexico and Puerto Rico has some nice AI resorts for a lot less.

I would check out Dreams Resorts. They have resorts located throughout Mexico and they usually offer some great packages around the holidays. One Dreams Resort in particular I would recommend is Dreams Huatulco. Dreams Huatulco is located in Southern Mexico on a beautiful bay that overlooks the beaches.  It’s a great place for winter getaway because you can relax by the beach all day or participate in the many different activities they offer. They also have the best food!  You can choose to eat at any of their six gourmet restaurants and there are no reservations required.  I hope you enjoy your vacation!
