Does anyone have any recs for AI places to stay in Puerto Vallarta?

My FI found this place called Casa Velas. It isn't located on the beach, but they say that have a shuttle to take you over and a great beach club with food, drinks, etc. once you get there. Thoughts?

Has anyone else not stayed on the beach?

I stayed in Puerto Vallarta back in March at the Riu Vallarta.  It was a nice hotel in terms of rooms, pools and beach.  The rooms weren't anything super fancy, but they were clean and nice enough.  The hotel lobby, grounds and beach were gorgeous.  The only down side is that the food kinda sucked.  :-/

If you are looking for a place to stay that is on the beach, I would check out Dreams Puerto Vallarta. Have you stayed @ Dreams? We are concerned that they aren't adult only. We will be honeymooning in September so I know school is back in session, but its still a conern.
