Greece Honeymoons..ideas or recommendations?

I'm getting married in october and thinking of a honeymoon on Santorini, in Greece.  Anyone have any thoughts about this or recommenations?  It looks incredibly romantic!  Flying out of NYC, or Newark.

I can't help spacifically, I love the idea.  I went to a greek island, that had far fewer tourists than Santorini would...however, I don't remember the name.  It was Aiena or something like that.  It had lots of little shops, beach access, eating under the stars.  The hotel we stayed at even had a pool that was filled with mediteranian water (or Adriadic Sea, not sure which) because it was water front, but was on rocks and not the beach...even though you could swim there.  Anyway, I would suggest looking at some of the smaller less well known islands, just because Santorini is just so populated, and popular.  Good luck!

Santorini is BEAUTIFUL! It's fairly quiet, some of the other islands have more night life, if that's what you're looking for (try Mykonos if you're partiers). We actually considered going to Santorini for our honeymoon, but were stifled by lack of funds. Check Trip Advisor for hotel recommendations (can't help with that as I went there during a Mediterranean cruise and had no say about accomodations).

Glad to see someone else interested in going somewhere besides the Caribbean.

We are flying into Athens, and from what friends have told me, one day there is enough.  We are also planning on going to Santorini, but I've heard Mykonos and Crete are not to be missed.  If we have time we are stopping in Italy for sure.  Milan and Venice would be amazing if funds don't run out first.
