Marco Island, FL Honeymoon?

Has anyone been on a honeymoon to Marco Island, Florida? I'm trying to think of some different places for our honeymoon in September! Thanks!!

I went to MI last August with FI and we pretty much hated it!
There is ZERO to do on that island and even the beach kinda sucked.

What about Siesta Key, Florida?
Its located just outside of Sarasota and was way nicer than MI.
Still not that much to do unless you drive into Sarasota

Hello,
 That is so funny you have posted this! I was just looking up Marco Island for next summer. I just had a friend of mine come back from there,and she said it was better than any of the islands she has gone to, and she would go back there in a heart beat! I think you should def. look into it! Good luck, I hope this has made you want to go there even more now!

I went to Marco Island a few years back for a vacation. It is a beautiful island but there isn't much to do. If you are looking to just relax on the beach it is a great place to go. There are some nice restaurants and stores.

There is lots to do in Siesta Key. ( Depending on what you like to do ) There is plenty of local shops, crazy amounts of bars and we even played bingo for a spontaneous thing to do. I do agree that there isn't much to do on Marco Island. There are plenty other places in Florida that are much nicer and have much more to do. Coming from a true Floridian. :)
