Has anyone stayed at Montego Bay Secrets St. James?

Has anyone stayed here before? If so what were the pros and cons? Also is Wild Orchid that much better or different? And lastly, did you upgrade to the Preferred Club and was it worth it? Thanks!

Thanks for the help girls, we booked our HM last night, going to St. James for 7 days!! We didnt upgrade to the Preferred Club due to the mixed reviews, do you guys have your opinions on this? It was $450 more for the upgrade, we figured we could use that money on tours or water activitys. Super excited

Fiance and I are planning our HM there in Aug 2011. WE haven't booked yet, but we will do so very soon/ We are booking through a site called bookit.com. They have the Junior Preferred Club Suite suite for (if I remember correctly) around 1500. So we are automatically in the preferred club rooms. I'm not sure what extras you added, but the web site said that if you book a preferred club room for 7 nights then you get the HM package complimentary.

Hi Lexa10, I researched this trip a lot and actually found the best deal was through Costco Travel. I am flying out of San Francisco, so it will be more expensive to fly out for us but just any FYI I also looked on Bookit, it was almost $600 more for the regular Junior Suite and almost $1000 more for the Preferred Club Junior Suite. You might wanna check out Costco Travel, they will also give you the option of upgrading to Preferred Club. And the biggesdt plus for us was that Costco allows you to pay for half of the total now and you can schedule the remaining amount, we do not have to pay the other half until the end of June, loved that! BTW, I am also going in August
