Where did you go in the Dominican?

We have been looking into Puerto Plata but we really want to make the correct choice on hotel and would prefer it to be all inclusive.

Where did you stay?

Thanks Ladies

Re: Where did you go in the Dominican?

  • i stayed in p. cana. it was 10 years ago so i dont know if the hotel is still there but it was the allegro bavaro. have you checked tripadvisor.com?

  • When are you going?  We are honeymooning in June and I've been considering pnta cana myself...heard that june is the rainy season though!

  • We are going in June, and I think that we are fine as far as rain. May starts the "hot season" and from what I have read the rain can offer some much needed relief but rarely lasts longer than 30 min.

    I have looked at tripadvisor.
  • We just got back from Puerto Plata.  We stayed at the Grand Oasis Marien.

It was wonderful and we have no complaints about the resort or Puerto Plata over P unta Cana.

PM me if you want more detailed info.
  • We stayed in PuntaCana at the Majestic Elegance resort.

It was sooo wonderful. Loved the D.R.  The area is so interesting and the tour of the native areas was so awesome!

  • You should definitely check out Dreams La Romana.  This resort is located on an amazing beach on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic.

The resort has all the amenities to make a vacation fantastic.  They have two swimming pools, a fabulous spa with tons of treatment options, plenty of water activities including windsurfing, catamarans, kayaks, snorkeling and much more.  You can also lounge by the pool or on the beach and have the wait staff bring you a meal or a cool drink.

The food is also amazing and you can choose from eight restaurants (French, seafood, hibachi, Italian and more!) and no reservations are required. Hope you enjoy your getaway!
