We're going to Gatlinburg the second week of June. It wasn't my first choice, but we're college students and really can't afford a honeymoon, so when someone offered us a private cabin for 4 nights we took it.
I've been several times with my family but we mostly did touristy stuff, like the Ripley's aquarium and Dollywood, which is not the type stuff we're wanting to do for the honeymoon. We really just want to relax and enjoy nature, maybe visit some shops, and find good places to eat. Of course, we're planning to go to the smokey mountain national park and cade's cove, but if anyone has other, more specific nature-oriented ideas please let me know!! I've heard that tubing down the river is fun and inexpensive(?) I also really need some good suggestions of eating places that aren't over-the-top touristy (we've done the fiddler's feast and all that in pigeon forge, which is fun but not what we're going for). Suggestions of things to do in the surrounding areas are also welcomed. Thanks everyone!!
