Photographer Question!!

Hey all, so we finally booked and we are having our reception at the Riverview in Simsbury, CT! We basically have everything set, except our photographer.

Also, what is the typical price range for one?

Any thoughts?

We booked Peter Black from Wedding Bells photography, hes been amazing so far. He comes to your house, the engagement photos and comes to the rehearsal dinner for an extra $100! He has no time restrictions at all! We had our engagement photos done with him on Sunday and he already has emailed me over 100 pics and sent me a disk with an additional 700 photos! He gives you every picture he takes with no copyright restrictions! His costs are so much less than everyone I looked at and hes so much more personable than 99% of the other photographers I looked into! Its just Peter, he does have second photographers that he can have for the day of the wedding.

We're using Matthew J. Wagner Fine Photography and he's located in Simsbury. Price ranges really depend on the photographer's experience and what kind of package you are looking for. We're getting two photographers for the whole day, an e-session, a disc with all pics, and a leather album. The price came to $4000. However, you can build any package you want for much less (and much more! if you want to go crazy).

We are also at the Riverview.

We went with HK Photography. Our package is about $3000 and we get both of them for the entire day, an engagement session, all pics and rights on a DVD, and something else.

    They are awesome.

We love HK as well!  We just had out e-pics with the last week and I'm dying to see how they came out.  They have been so helpful and reassuring when I need it!  :)

We used Aurora Photography and Jennifer McCann Photography, they both run about $3000 for weddings.

We are using Catherine Fiehn, we got her by referral because she doesn't advertise. Many of my frineds have used her and she is worth every penny but believe it or not she wasn't as pricey as we thought by her experience and the looks of her photos. Her blog is http://www.catherinefiehn.blogspot.com . She cost about $3000 but has cheaper packages.  Oh, and one thing is with her you get your disks in a week or so, many of my friends pics where up online while they where still on their honeymoon. I hear nightmares about waiting months.
