Ceremony & Reception Venue: The Crystal Room in Naugatuck - A+! We were a little worried, admittedly, because the staff is mostly our age (20 something) even though at first we worked with an older woman, Pam, then her kids and nieces/nephews took over. There was nothing to worry about, however, because they were AWESOME! The service during the wedding was great, we had a personal attendant who took care of anything we needed. They moved the night along and worked well with our outside vendors. The food was amazing and guests are still talking about it! If you are having a winter wedding indoors, this was such a great venue for it as you'll see from the pics. Most of the decorating was already up, for their holiday parties and such. They all helped pack up our centerpieces and everything at the end of the night and it was just worry free from start to finish! Plus great prices on dinner & open bar.
Todd Philip Photography - A+! Again something we were hoping would turn out right....since the prices were so great and it seemed like they were still kind of starting out. Well there was nothing, nothing at all to be concerned about - Todd just shared the teaser pics with us last week and they came out so well! The quality is great, the lighting, everything... we could not be happier and I can't wait to see all of the pics. Also he worked with the venue people to make sure our photo time was not cut off til we had all the pics we wanted, even though they were rushing us. We highly recommend Todd and his wife and assistant Michelle!
DJ Melee - Jason Palermo - A! We got such a great price from Jason and he even traveled from the Uncasville area to Naugatuck for the wedding. Right away when we met we got a great feeling from him and knew he would spin good music without us having to tell him every song we want to hear. We gave him an idea of what we wanted and he completely nailed it. Guests are still talking about how great the music was! The only reason I give him and A and not A Plus is that when I watched the video of the ceremony there was a little lag time between music transitions but it really did not affect the ceremony in a blatant way. I definitely recommend Jason and I know his bookings are filling up so contact him soon if you're interested!
Sweet Maria's - A+ We got cupcakes and top tier cake from Sweet Maria's, our favorite bakery (it's in Waterbury). They put everything together beautifully and really listened to what we wanted as far as design....oh and it was so delicious!!! The prices were great too, we saved about half the cost of a wedding cake and guests loved the idea of cupcakes versus cake.
