The Venue itself is beautiful, but Katie, the Barn coordinator was at times difficult to get a hold of or answer questions. Also, what is exactly included in the contract wasn’t clear and we ended up paying for more things than we initially negotiated, like paying an extra $200 to have the crappy black chairs that are included in the barn moved into the shed and not knowing how many people can fit at each table. Overall however, the grounds were kept beautiful and the barn was nice and warm on a cold fall day.

The best vendor of the night! I didn’t officially “meet” him until that night, but he got the party going with my song list and his songs (he even abided by my no line-dance requests), he had some fabulous ideas and was a real “master of ceremonies,” he even added some nice up-lighting for no additional charge. Plus, as his gift to us he gave us CDs containing all our formal dance songs

My other favorite vendor of the day! Helena was my least expensive, yet most fabulous vendor. Not only were the flowers EXACTLY what I wanted, they were actually even more beautiful than I could have dreamed of, the packaging was perfect! Even my photographer was noting how great she was! She didn’t even charge me for the flower girls bouquets or renting the Sheppard hooks. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and her creativity surpassed anything I could have thought of myself. Loved loved LOVED my flowers!

Delicious food! Plus, Heidi did a perfect job of running her staff, having them go above and beyond by moving our ceremony chairs inside and delivering great service! The only snafu was the slightly swirly bartender.
Cake/Cupcakes: B
The Sweet Spot Bakery, New Milford, CT
Yummy yummy! The bakery is delicious (we used to live next to it!), the only reason they get a B is because they don’t really answer e-mails promptly and they didn’t follow the picture I gave them for the cake decoration, but it still looked great.

Nails:
Nails by Tina, Glastonbury: A++ : They massage everything, are perfectionists when it comes to nails and the place is beautiful. Plus they let me drink my champagne!

Hair & Make-up:
Primped and Polished via Bronze Effects Salon, Enfield: C+ : They get a passing grade because they did make me look pretty however, the trial was bad and they need to figure out their contract. Their prices are all over the place and I ended up getting charged triple what is quoted on their website and paying for 2 flower girls to get their hair done, when I told the salon prior that they would not be having it done. Even the stylists were apologizing for miscommunication and the “and up” charging.
Hair Color: Acure Eco Salon, West Hartford www.acureecosalon.com/: A+
They helped pick out my color and used all natural products, loved it! Will definitely be back.
