Farmington Valley/CT Venue Search - Lots of light!

Hi All,

We're recently engaged and starting to thinking about venues for a late summer 2013 wedding. So far we're having a bit of a hard time coming up with places. We need a place that is up to $110 a head (including tip/tax) and fits at least 200, but preferably up to 230. Obviously we'd rather be under $110 a head for a Saturday night (with tax and tip) but are having a really hard time finding a place! We want something that isn't your typical ballroom - we both are a bit more nature minded so we'd like something with lots of windows and lights in a nice setting. So far we've looked at the Pond House (too small), Riverview (too $$), the Simsbury Inn (pretty dark), and we're looking at Tunxis Pavillion in Farmington this upcoming weekend. We're also thinking about looking at La Cupola Ristorante & Inn in Litchfield and Mystic Seaport.

Any suggestions?

I got married at Tunxis a few years ago and loved the whole process.  A lot was included in the package which was great.  THe venue had tons of light since it is outdoors.  It did start to rain a little that night and they only closed the side that the rain was coming in.  It was really beautiful.
