"Rooms" / Banquet Halls?

Not WR, but does anyone know of any place in Eastern Connecticut that would be good for a party?  Like a birthday or Christmas party for 75-100 people.  I'd like something nicer than a VFW but I certainly don't need to rent a fancy reception site.

Suggestions?

    Are you looking down at the shoreline? or more north like the Woodstock area?

    I would recommend the Thames Club in New London: oldest social club in CT, 2nd oldest in New England-we just had our wedding there on Labor Day weekend--it was so perfect, but certainly not a standard reception Hall, as the building is split between 3 floors with various rooms, we just used it all with a roaming style reception (no DJ). One needs to either be a member or be sponsored by a member to do an event there. We are members--so we could do the wedding, so let me know if you need a sponsor-- I would be happy to lend a hand to a fellow Knottie
