Hi! Has anyone booked a honeymoon in Bali? We're looking to go there for ours in August and were hoping someone would have a hotel/villa recommendation!

Depending on your budget, I can give some more recommendations. There are a couple more less expensive but still very nice hotels around Nusa Dua.

The Conrad resort in Nusa Dua is INCREDIBLE! I stayed there in 2006, and loved it. They have this morning bike ride that I also recommend, if you stay there. It takes you through the village in Nusa Dua and to this sea turtle conservation center.  SO much fun!  Also, dinner at Jimbaran Bay is a MUST.  I also recommend avoiding Kuta like the plague!! Overcrowded, over-touristed, pushy pushy salespeople harassing you every five minutes, drunken westerners, etc.

Bali has a TON of hotels in all shapes and sizes... and in many different areas.  Can you share with us a little more about what you desire?  Beach only, local culture, off the beaten path, mountains?  Total luxury, budget, etc.?  You may get better suggestions if you offer some more info....

We're looking to do a few nights inland (probably Ubud) and then a few nights on the coast. We're open to either a hotel or villa. We're also thinking of going to the island that has the komono dragon national park for a few nights as well.

Did you use a travel agent or book things yourself?
