Edible Wedding Favor

I was thinking of doing home-made cookies or a midnight snack box for guests to take home. Did anyone do this? Has anyone made cookies..did you have time before the wedding to bake and package?

Re: Edible Wedding Favor

  • You can freeze cookies usually, so you can make them several weeks ahead of time!

Just check with your venue or caterer - I know ours absolutely will not allow homemade food to be distributed as it is a health code violation for them.

I do love the idea of edible favors, though!  The midnight snack box is a very cute idea.  Some bottled water, instant coffee for the morning, maybe a bottle of Gatorade for the hangover, some lotion for sore feet from dancing, and some cookies?  If you can't do homemade, maybe you can buy a bunch in bulk or something!  Just check with your caterer!

  • What about a candy buffet? I think that is really cute!
  • I def liked the candy buffet idea, but we are having a dessert table, so I was thinking that might be too much.
  • Can you ask your venue to provide the cookies? That would save the time.

  • Agree- ask venue to provide cookies, they might not let you bring in homemade cookies. That being said, I think the cookie idea is cute :)

If you have a lot of guests staying from OOT, you could ask the hotel if you could set up a cookie display where they can grab one on the way in from the night!

We are having the whole venetian table too, but still doing a candy buffet.  Our candy buffet will be mostly sweeter candies with the exception of the few chocolate candies that are loved by most (Reeses and M and M's)
