Puerto Vallarta or Jamaica for Honey Moon?

We are trying to plan our honeymoon for September 28th- October 5th 2010 and we know we want to go to either Jamaica or Puerto Vallarta (cause we've found great deals on all inclusive hotels) and we don't know which place would be better! Neither of us have been out of the U.S. before. Your thoughts?

We are actually looking into an all-inclusive resort in Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic. I feel like we have all the time in the world to choose a destination but with each idea I come across the next one always seems better! Good luck with wherever you choose to go. I've heard Jamaica is a great place to travel to.

thanks I have also heard that the Dominican Republic is beautiful. My neighbors are going there for their honeymoon too!

i say jamiaca, only because beaches on the atlantic/carribean coast are generally known to be calmer, bluer and with whiter sand than beaches along the pacific coast (like puerto vallarta)...i'm big on beaches, so that's what i suggest hope that helps...

Hello! I have been to both and I DEFINITELY recommend Jamaica over Puero Vallarta! The reason you are seeing great deals is because the beach is on the pacific. That means...you won't be seeing the picture perfect white sand beaches and crystal clear water! Jamaica is amazing...I stayed in Negril twice...can't beat it! HTH!
