looking for some girlfriends in fairfield county!

Hi girls! I'm 29, happily married to a wonderful man, living in west norwalk with our big handsome newfoundland, Hemingway. I'm not from around here originally, and don't have a job in a social atmosphere, so finding new friends has been tough. I'm putting feelers out to see if anyone is in the same boat, and would like to meet for coffee or exchange emails, whatever...I love my dog but he doesn't talk back. :)  If you live in New Canaan, Westport, Rowayton, Darien, Stamford, etc....reach out! xo.

    I feel you - I'm in Miami and have a similar problem.  My FI is also a Marine, so moving every 1-2 years is pretty standard so it's something I'll have to get used to.

    Why don't you look into MeetUp.com?  They often have great groups.  Work out classes can also be a good way to meet friends - take a class that meets once a week so it's the same people. 

    Also, one way I met cool people was to sign up to train for a half marathon with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - I didn't do it to meet friends, but I did!  The Disney Princess Half Marathon is in February in Orlando and is a TON of fun!  And because it's a Princess race, mostly women sign up.  The training is about to start all across the country, and it's a group that meets every week to trade ideas on fundraising, run together, and then they travel together to the race.  If you raise the money, your trip to the race is free - hotel, transportation, and entry fee is all included.  It's a really great cause, and can be a lot of fun!  Even if you aren't a runner, you can walk the half marathon.  It still counts and lots of people do it! For what it's worth, though, I had never run even a full mile in my life before starting training last October, and I completed the half marathon in February, so it's totally do-able!  Check out my blog if you're interested - neverranamile.wordpress.com

    Awww, I wish I could help but I'm all the way in Hartford County. Lots of ladies are from that way so hopefully you all can link up.

    I'm in New Fairfield (near Danbury) but work in Stamford. My fiance lives in Mamaroneck so I'm always in the area!

    I used to live and work over that way, but just moved to simsbury. I love both areas! Check out SONO bakery and the beaches in Norwalk, that's where we got engaged! :) GL!

    I live in Danbury and work in Stamford.  My fiance lives in Norwalk.  I usually stay there during the week since the commute is shorter!

    I really think we should do a CT knottie get together...I would be so into that!!! How would we go about doing something like that?

    We haven't had a CT knottie get together in ages.  I think the last one was actually at Sandra's place in West Hartford summer of 2010!!!!.... my brain is escaping me... I can't remember her screenname.
