I saw that you are using Janice from Salon Naomi for makeup and that you recently had your trial.  I am using her, too so I'm dying to know how your trial went!  Did you like the way it came out?  Someone told me she tends to do the makeup "too natural" (whatever that means).  I'd love to hear how it went!  Thanks!

Angela! Hello there! I had my makeup done just the other day and I had the pleasure of sitting in Naomi Martinez salon for a total of 9 hours so I saw 2 other brides trials as well. 

Janice is very calm and collected, I loved her demeanor and she made me feel so calm which I really liked about her.  I chose bridal package #2 which is $195 and I would definitely say to atleast get that.  The little exfoliating treatment really made the makeup go on wonderfully smooth.

The two ladies before me must have told her to do a more dramatic look because compared to my trial they did seem to "pop" a bit more.  But I really think its up to you.  My makeup did come out very natural looking, but I want to look like me on my wedding day...just a flawless me.  I will tell you I was FLAWLESS.  I wish I took some photos so I could show you! My wedding is on 1/9/10 though so I can show you after that absolutely.  I had some minor breakout issues going on and you couldn't tell, not even a little.  My friends and I went to the casino after my trial and my makeup stayed put just as fresh as can be ALL NIGHT. 

I was thinking I might tell her to go a little heavier on my eyes for the day of for something extra glam but maybe not.  She seemed to have a method to her maddness and I couldn't have been happier.  She goes through a series of questions like how you normally wear your makeup, what colors you use, what color your flowers and dress are.  She even said she didn't want to go too dark or dramatic on my eyes because they are smaller and it would make them appear smaller, so I really trust her.  My friends were amazed with how flawless my makeup turned out.  And ABSOLUTELY get the false eye lashes my GOODNESS they made all the difference!

You were there for 9 hours!  Wow!  Should I expect to be there that long when I go for my trial?

I'm glad you had such a good experience!  I am so excited!  I am getting the same package as you and she is also going to be doing makeup for all of my girls and mom.  I'm not getting married until July 30, so I will probably schedule my trial for sometime in June.  She was one of the very first vendors I booked!

lol no problem.  And no...me and my two BM booked services all day....three full foils, two hair trials, makeup trials ahhh it was a long day but sooo worth it!  Congrats and I can't wait to show pics either!
