Videography

How much should I expect to pay on average for a basic package, I don't care if it's edited or if it's just raw footage, however a photo lead in and basic editing would be nice (transitions, titling, music...but not all necessary).  Anyone have anyone to recommend?  I really don't want to spend more than $1200.

you should look into Aj Films (easily found on Google) and if you have not booked a photographer yet, they work hand-in-hand with Alexis Stein Photography (also easily found on Google). If you book both services together, you will be able to get a great rate.

    Hope this helps.

A lot of girls on here recommend Star Quality Video.  It looks like their basic package is $1500 but it might be a little more than you're interested in (so maybe you can negotiate some?).

There are some other options if you click on the link at the top of the message boards- CT Recommended Vendor List but the price range varies.

    Good luck!

I am using Tim Lawrence at IMR Films.  He was so great to work with, totally willing to travel and his prices can't be beat.

I was not looking for a showcase quality movie, but rather for basic video with editing and something more to document the day.  Since videography was low on our priortiy list, but something I definitely wanted, I was willing to sacrifice the big production in favor for a nice video memorializing the day.

He will also send you a full length sample if you'd like.

Here is a link to his packages and website.

He also has video posted on youtube - just search IMR Films.

    Good Luck!
