CT Venue on a tight budget -- barn style?

Anyone know of a nice Southeastern CT venue that will accomodate about 75 - 100 people (max), in a barn setting (ideally), that would cost a maximum of $2,500 to $3,000 including tables & chairs?

    I like the look of the Webb Deane barn, and I found it before this post, but I disapprove of the fact that they charge $200 just to see/tour the space before signing a contract. It seems bogus to ask people to pay money to merely scope out your venue and accomodations.

    That seems a bit weird for them to charge to do that. You might want to keep in mind that having a wedding in a barn or tent can actually be more money then having it at a venue. My sister wanted a backyard tent wedding but once they added up everything it was crazy more expensive.

    BTW The Webb Barn is like right near the road and I thonk you can even tour the house as a historic building perhaps just show up??

    Just to Clarify, it doesn't cost $200 to tour the Webb Barn, it's a $200 charge if you'd like them to give tours of the Webb House (in front of the barn) during the wedding. I just got married there in august and everything was amazing!

    Ahh, well that's helpful to know. Their site isn't very clear, then.  

    Any other places that would be cheaper?

    It isn't a barn but the Bendel Mansion is very nice and is located in the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.
