My pesonal randomess based on the following statistics:

16 months is the average length of engagement?  I just HAD to go count ours.  Yeah, once we get married in October of 2011 - we'll have reached 101 months.

Average age for bride is 25 and groom is 27 - The FI will be 27 but I'll be an old maid at 29.

The average honeymoon is one week and 55 percent are to a foreign location - how do people get the money for that?!

Average budget is 22,000?  Heck, I'm going for 7,000 hopefully.

And I also found it odd that it says 60 percent of brides say they'll be changing their surnames.  Thats it?

Oh, and four out of five brides being employed...lucky b.....
93,750: Approximate cost, in dollars, of an average Japanese wedding!?!?!? I never realized they took weddings so seriously!
    Posted by aprilfresh11
I went to school with an exchange student from Japan and I saw her wedding photos on facebook. They had 2 really elaborate ceremonies. One very traditional Japanese style with kimonos and such and one extremely eleborate western style ceremony with the white dress etc etc...I think that's pretty common for the younger couples now so it must be driving costs up

  • average wedding party size?? we're only haveing 1 attendant each, so that's 2 right? I'd hate to see the weddings where there's more than 12 - that's insane!

average bridal gown $800!!??  mine was $150 - and it wasn't at David's Bridal

I'm the 1 bride out of 5 who's unemployeed. How fun is that.

    surprising stats. thanks for sharing!!
