Greece??

I have been looking into a honeymoon in Greece, about 10 days. I want to only spend about a day or so in Athens, and then go to the Greek islands. I rather not do a cruise. I'm looking for tips about which islands are best.
I know Mykonos has a big party scene, so I was considering Santorini, but the black and red sand beaches dont seem conducive to relaxing on the sand all day. Anyone been to Greece before or have any guidance for me? TIA!

We're doing a week in Santorini before a week in Rome and TripAdviser has been very helpful. We used it when we booked our lodging for Greece (we knew where we wanted to stay in Italy).  It's been helpful for narrowing down activities, as well...

We are going to Greece for our honeymoon, Athens for two nights, then on to Santorini for five. We are working with Petros from Hellenic Holidays out of NY, who is highly recommended on this board. He is very knowledgable, and attentive!

Staying at Electra Palace in Athens and Andronis Suites in Santorini in September, can't wait!!!

I am planning our honeymoon for Greece too!  We are flying into Athens and staying for 1 night just to do the tourist stuff.  Then we are flying into Mykonos and Santorini, each for a few days.  We've only booked flights right now...so I would love some Hotel recommendations for the islands.
Someone mentioned splurging on Santorini...what's a good choice?  We are going in August so I'm sure both islands will be busy but it sounds like Santorini will be the more relaxing spot.
I'm down for something luxurious...we only get 1 honeymoon, right?!
