Need Honeymoon Ideas!

Okay, so I'm planning on going on a honeymoon in late September (leaving on 26th).  We want to be gone 3-5 days.  We live in the Northwest.  We would LOVE to go somewhere warm and beachy (Mexico or Caribbean).  However, we want to stay at $1500 or lower for everything (is a warm and beachy HM impossible?).

We are open to the idea of doing something non-beachy and relaxing, if it were fun with lots of things to see (a weekend in San Francisco is on the table and could be done on the cheap).

If Mexico, I was thinking of Cabo or Riviera... any hotel recs?

Hawaii is probably too expensive. Try to find an all inclusive where you can get a good deal. Have you looked into cruises?

I think you will find that Mexico will cost you the less.  Mexico is cheap and you get a GREAT beachy warm vacation.

We just booked 3 nights 4 days at Royal Playa Del Carmen for $1900 with oceanview suite for our anniversary. It is adults only and AI... Booked through Elise with Beach Bum Vacation and she is WONDERFUL with working within your budget! Contact her, give her your budget and she will send you some options. Adults only are going to be more expensive. She sent us one that was kid friendly that was $1500 for the 3 nights and 4 days.

edit: I just did a quick search on our resorts website and you can fly from Seattle for 3 nights for $1750ish... I do rec. going through a travel agent though because they can get better deals and sometimes even upgrades and special treatment!

you can also look at lake tahoe...at the end of sept it should still be warm--we still try to beach it at that time if we can!  there is plenty to do also if it is too cold to go to the beach.  but i think if you talk to a travel agent that you can get to mexico on your budget for a few days!

I recommend Bermuda, on your budget maybe you can cruise there.  Its absolutely gorgeous!  If you had more $ I'd recommend staying at The Reefs for their honeymoon package.

We are going to Secrets Capri for my birthday for 3 nights flying from DC for $1495. As a pp said there were also many options that weren't adult only when we booked that were less.  Dreams Cancun was only $1300 at the time were were looking.  I'm sure you will find something!

We had our wedding at El Dordao Royale in Riviera Maya and seriously we could have not asked for a better location or venue. Everything was more than we could have asked for and then some.

Thankyou so much!  I am definitely thinking that Mexico sounds like the best deal   I could definitely use some of the heat to fantasize about on this typically Northwest gray day!

I went to a friend's wedding in Feb of this year to the Maya Rivera in Mexico.  We stayed at the Barcelo resort.  It was all inclusive, nice pools and a nice beach.  It cost me $1400 cdn.

I think Mexico is a great choice for a September honeymoon. Since you are looking into Cabo, I would recommend Dreams Los Cabos. Dreams Los Cabos is a great all-inclusive resort located on an amazing beach; you will love it! The resort also features three swimming pools, two swim up bars, and four different restaurants for dining. The staff at the resort is so accommodating and will make your honeymoon very special. However, I would have to say that two of my favorite things about this resort are the spa and the 24-hour room service. If you chose Dreams, you and your hubby must get a couple’s massage and also order room service and enjoy breakfast in bed! Good luck planning your honeymoon!
