Brazil for honeymoon? other suggestions for Oct-Nov

Hi.. I'm getting married late October and was thinking about going to Brazil for our hm. Has anyone gone? Any recommendations for places to stay at, tours, etc. I wanted to do half beach resort and half touristy which seems feasible there. Let me know if you have any other suggestions for that time period as well.

Brazil is HUGE, so you have lots of options. If you go to Rio, you could spend a few days in the city itself (which is right on the beach) and do a side trip to either Buzios or Angra dos Reis (where there are lots of islands including Ilha Grande, a popular spot). Both of those are about 2 hrs from Rio.

I've never been to the north, but Salvador is supposed to be really interesting with a big Afrocaribbean influence. I've also had friends enjoy beach time in Florianopolis.

My FI agreed with what the PP said..hes brazilian. That time frame is summer for them..its a great time to go...nice warm weather! You will have a blast.
