Scrambling to plan May honeymoon

Hello,
We scrambling to plan our may honeymoon. We are looking to spend 2-3k(for airfare, hotel, transfers, etc) and prefer to stay in a small boutique style hotel rather than a huge resort. We are open to suggestions but currently considering Mexico. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Look up Hotel La Tortuga in Playa del Carmen in Mexico.  I stayed there in May 2008 with my family and it has very reasonable prices and it is right off of 5th Ave in downtown Playa - close to the shops and restaurants.  Plus breakfast is included.
