Oahu Hotels Recommendations

We are very close to booking our honeymoon in Oahu. I found some good deals on Sams Club website that discount hotel + travel. We are looking to spend $2500 on airfare plus hotel. The airfare is close to 1500 so trying to find a hotel for aruond 1000 for 7 nights. Since sams club offers some good discounts,
Hawaiin Hilton Village is one of them we can get in this price range, anyone ever stay here? reviews? It looks nice, reviews online are ok. Just wanted first hand perspective.

Where else did you stay for HM and how was it??

My sister lives in Hawaii and I have been 10+ times! I looooove it! Hilton Hawaiian Village is where all the families stayed for her wedding. I loved it, it was really nice and its so big, its like its own little city (restaurants, shops, etc)
I will say that it is not exactly right in the middle of the popular Waikiki area, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you like. You may have to take a cab to some places. BUT the beach in front of the HHV is the BEST! Its so wide, big, and beautiful compared to the other Waikiki beaches (which are completely packed and seem very small to me) I would stay here again for sure.
