Speaking of vendors

Even though the wedding is rather far away, I really want to get my vendors booked because things get hectic once schools open. Next on my list is the DJ.My DOC recommended Jay Edwards, but I emailed Wednesday for a price list and haven't heard back. I need someone affordable (looking to stay under $550) who would be comfortable getting/playing Caribbean music.I came across Orlando's Got Talent, so I'm considering meeting with them. Anyone use them before? Have any recommendations?TIA

OOPS! I read your post wrong ...thought you were looking for DOC  :)   ....I do reccomend calling Joyce with Creative Designs when you are ready to pick your florists :)  We used tony with Nvision productions for DJ and lighting....Good Luck !

I wouldn't give up on who your DOC recommended just yet.  Summer is the busy wedding season and he probably just hasn't been able to get back to you. It's only been a couple of business days.  In the meantime, it can't hurt to get some prices from other DJs though.

I booked Jay based on all the rec's here on The Knot. He's over $550 though, but if he's as great as everyone says then it's worth it!

Ditto Mrs B - she is wise! Also check out Provocative Productions.  They're awesome - they're website has a lot of information and all different packages as good starting points.  Ask for Mark or Justin and tell them Alexia sent you!
