What did you do with...

the little cards you got when you registered? How many of you included them in shower, e-party, or *gasp* wedding invites??? How many of you threw them away the minute you were handed them?? Just curious!

I was begging the lady not to print them out to waste paper, but apparently the store gets credit for them when they print them or some crap like that. I threw them away when I got home. We have our registry info on our wedding website that I guess my mom is just going to include on the bottom of the shower invites?

They are sitting in my mom's desk drawer so that she can had them to any of her friends who are too technophobic to check the website.

Gave them to my mom along with the invitations I bought to print(since we decided to go another way) ...in case she wanted to use them for the shower. I also gave her one of our favors we bought(because we overbought) I told her to use whatever she wanted however she wanted.

Thanks ladies...very interesting! I want to throw them away but FMIL is determined to include them in the e-party invites (she is throwing one for us). I am trying to work up the courage to tell her no! I may just throw them away and tell her to just forget about it!

Off topic:Stev - I saw your reply over on the thread about the cousin invite.  I get what everyone else is saying but just wanted you to know that I would have taken it just as you did.  Also, your feeling about the invite and the intention behind it are two separate things so w/o knowing the intentions, I can totally see where you would "jump to that conclusion".  I think it was a totally normal reaction.  ;-)

Now to answer the question:We registered online with BBB so I thought we were going to avoid those nasty little buggers.  Nope.  They showed up via good ol' USPS.  I threw them out.

Mine are still sitting in the booklet they came in. The shower invites are all sealed. If you have reservations, don't use them. People usually ask where you are registered when they RSVP.

Ditto Mrs. B!  I can't believe they wasted postage sending those to me! Anyway, I threw them all out.  I'm including a card with a link to our website in the invite and the Registry info is on there.  If anyone throws me a shower and includes some info on the invite, I'm not going to worry about.  I've got bigger fish to fry. GL!

THanks Mrs. B for the support and understanding! I am going to put my big girl panties on and deal with FMIL and throw the damn cards away!
