Does anyone workout and do the classes at the LA fitness in waterford? I have a membership but have never gone to the classes.

I am getting a membership there the beginning of August and I wanted to do the classes. Need a work out buddy?

Yea I do... it will give me more of an effort to go and make me accountable. When I lived in Charlotte I went to the gym 2x a week for a hip hoop class and then 1 for a yoga bc my cousin was there but since I moved here and dont know many ppl its easy for me to say Ill go next time... Let me know whenever youwant to go:) Melinda

Yay! I was hopping around last night telling the FI I might of found a work out buddy. He'll be happy that I won't be dragging his butt to the classes with me. I added you as a friend on FB so we can chat there.

OMG I can not stand that gym!!!! I was a member for 2 years there and I couldn't stand it. It is such a meat market. More than 80% of the members are all UCF students and they mainly go there to try to hook up with people. Here are some helpful hints..... Never I mean ever go there around the hours of 5pm-7pm! You will waiting in line forever for a machine. Never ever try to cancel your membership, I tried to do that and they charged my credit card over $600 in fees! They later gave me a refund saying that is was an error but I was livid. The classes are fun if you can go with someone, if you go to a spinning class make sure you buy one of those cushion for the seats or you will get iron butt! Good workout but those seats hurt! Oh yea and never get sucked into their personal training packages! I did and it was such a waste of money.If you can find a workout buddy it will be a lot more fun and it won't make everything seem as bad. The pool and sauna are great but the hot tub is broken most of the time.Sorry this was so long but I have really strong opinions about that place!

Meatmarket? Really? LOL! I actually said that to FI. I have never been to a co-ed gym before but I checked out Metro and I made a quick turn around move at the door. Too many beefy men. So we checked out LA Fitness. I wasn't all that thrilled that they put me on a scale and checked my body fat. I wish I had the metabolizism of FI. He was 10% body fat and he eats like a garbage disposal and rarely ever works out. I hate him. Anyway - the only women's gym (other than Curves) is in Longwood and I know I wouldn't drive my butt up there. Are you a member of a gym now? If so where?

Wow you have a garbage disposal FI too? Yea when they checked him he was at 5% body fat and I wanted to crawl into a whole when they did mine! I did the same thing when I went to metro! What a hole in the wall! I have just given up on the whole gym thing and started to do the Jillian Michaels videos at home. I would like to find a place in the area that has those Zumba classes! I heard those were a lot of fun! The thing that got me was here I am sweating my you-know-what off and here walks in this size -3 girl wearing practically nothing and it made me feel like shamu! I guess since it is so close to the college what else can you expect!

HAHAHA Liz you make me laugh.. size 3 girls! I strongly sidlike them especially when iM WORKING OUT!The meatheads dont really bother me soo mych bc they actually BOTHER me soo much I get p*** off and ignore them rollmy eyes or just laugh at them. LOL! Im soooo excited Erica!Workout buddies make it soo much more fun to work out!

I go to the LA Fitness in Conway... but if you ever need another workout buddy... I would drive to Waterford!Me <----needs to get her butt in gear.

I used to work out at conway and liked spinning, but one of the walls has your butt facing a glass wall to where the weights (and meat heads) would cluster together. I always felt like they would stare at your butt going up and down and wiggling while you were spinning so fast and doing the "hills" and other extremes as if it were porn. Seriously ICK. I wish the gym knew how dumb the glass wall was in that room. If the only bike left was by the glass I would leave and not work out.

I go to Planet Fitness- much cheaper and it's not a meat market. I love their 30 min circuit. I go almost everyday now.
