I am so livid right now it isn't even funny! I have been working in spas in Orlando for over 7 years now. I was working for one let's just call them WL right now. I worked there for 3 years, never once was written up and I was an "excellent" employee. I ended up resigning my position there because I was told that the GM of the spa was talking bad about me to my fellow employees one day when i had to leave work early because my daughter had a fever. She not only talked bad about me but said "children are disgusting, and inconvienent! That is why I have dogs!" So to say that I was ticked off is putting it lightly. After a mediation with human resources I decided to resign from my position and work else where. Here is where it gets really messed up. I have been getting my hair done with the stylist from that spa for over 4 years now. Since I left the spa she has been doing my hair out of her house because she lives close to me. Recently she asked if I would come into the spa to have my hair done instead of her breaking her back over her sink at her house. I said that it wouldn't be a problem for me as long as it was ok with the spa. She went ahead and made me the appointment. That was two weeks ago and I needed to reschedule the appt for this Saturday. Note I have been on the books for over a month now. Then today on FB I was chatting with one of my friends that still work there and she said she wanted to text me something about my appt. She told me the the owner of the resorts wife wants to have a spa party that day and that my appt is smack dab in the middle of what she wants to do. All of a sudden the hair stylist calls me and says that human resources told her that I am not allowed into the spa. I was like WTF? I worked there for years, never got into any trouble, was not fired, hell I was even an ambassador for the company because I pulled two people out of a car during an accident in front of this resort! Now they are telling me that because my appt is in the way of the owner's wife's little party that I am never allowed back? I must tell you that I have worked on several past employees when I worked there and there was never any problems! So now I can't get my hair done by the person who has been doing it for years because my appt is interferring with someone's party that was just scheduled on Monday? You have to understand that this isn't some little mom and pop little spa, we are talking about a HUGE resort that is all over the country! I am a paying customer, why should my appointment be canceled and then me given some lame excuse for doing so. This wasn't even an issue before so why should it be an issue now.It isn't even about me getting my hair done at this point. I am upset because I don't think it is right to be able to do whatever the heck you want to because your husband is a billionare and you use the resort as your own personal playground. The owner of these resorts is always in the press for doing inappropriate things and I told HR that it wouldn't be in their company's best interest to treat me this way and that they might want to reconsider before I called my friend at a local news station. All of a sudden he said that he would look into things and get back to me. They know that they are wrong for what they are doing to me. Why is it that people with a lot of money feel free to make their own rules! UGGHHHH!Sorry I had to vent! I don't like it when I am treated unfairly for no reason. I know a business has the right to refuse service to whom ever they choose but I would have liked a better reason to have been refused service other than that interferes with a rich b@$&^'s party!
