Shower gifts

I know 2 posts in a row! Just look at my ticker and you will know why!I have recieved a few shower gifts from Fis family up north and I haven't opened them yet I was waiting for the shower. Is it okay if I don't send out thank you cards right away? I would think that is okay but I keep hearing that you should send TYs out no later than 2 weeks after recieving the gift. What do you think?

    I think that is okay. But, on the other hand, if you open them now, then you could write out the TYs and send em and then they are done and that is one less thing to worry about.

    I'd open them and send the thank you. Mostly, because I'm antsy like that but also because if something was damaged during shipment, they'd probably want to know as soon as possible.
