Outdoor wedding lake locations and caterer

Greetings fellow brides!  I just got engaged on the 22nd and we are planning a January 30th wedding....so we have little time, especially with all the holidays coming up.  Our budget is also very limited because we are paying for the wedding ourselves.  We are looking for an outdoor ceremony with a lake front, and an indoor reception at the same site.  Any ideas?   We tried Town Manor and LOVED it but you can only have 80 guest and it is about $3000 over our budget when you add it tax and gratuity.  We are looking to have about 150 guests.  We will probably do heavy h'orderves unless someone knows a really great and inexpensive caterer (like under $20 a person).  Most places we have really liked do not charge for the location and all linens are included but the cost per person is $50-75 and that is way out of budget.ANY help would be realllly appreciated!THANKSAubrey

Hi Aubrey, Consider Cypress Grove in downtown-ish Orlando? I haven't looked at their specific price packages, but it seems to fit the type of location you want. There are also some county parks on the water, depending on how casual you want to go. GL.:)

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but I'm doing my ceremony at Lake Eola and it's pretty reasonable. Good luck!

Try BJoely Catering.  He has a budget menu for $16 a head.  It's a set menu, but it's AWESOME!  His food is soooo good.  He'll do all your decorating for you.  He does basic linens included included the price.  You can upgrade your linens too for an inexpensive price.  Your best bet for an ceremony/reception site would be a civic center.  Most of them allow you to bring in your own vendors.HTH!!!

You can try Lake Lily Park in Maitland - it's beautiful and the Civic Center is right next door and they do receptions.  If you can cut your guest list down a little - Quinn-Strong Park is nice too.  No lake, but cheaper reception location right there that holds about 90 people.

Try Lake Mary Events Center, its gorgeous and they have a list of caterers to use and they all vary in price.  They charge for the location and if its on a weekend you get it for like 8 hours and there is no limit on the amount of guests!  You should defintiely check it out, it fills up fast.
