Check out P&E

So, there's a post on P&E from Fischey and it's title "Talk Amongst Yourselves"Cliffs notes:  Some Dad is pushing his 18-year-old daughter to sign an "adult film" contract (or work in the business, can't remember which) for $400k a year. His reason: Looking out for her financial well-being.  He thinks if she does it for 3 or so years, she'll be set for life.Ummmm... yeah...Opinions?

gross..he needs some jail time..just for about 3 years or so and he'll be set for life..seriously, i'm gonna tell obama that there should be a license for people to have kids..this place is getting outta hand :P

Not to mention, she'll be 21ish by the time she's "done" and then what is she supposed to do? Her naked body will be all over the internet and the public.  She'll probably have emotional damage, self-esteem issues, etc. There are so many things wrong with this situation.

Not only those things, but what happens when she wants to find another job that isn't in that line of work..It sounds silly, but a lot of employers check that stuff out now..They can't risk the reputation of the company for a person that's been involved in "risky business". I don't even want to imagine what may happen if she catches an STD, gets pregnant, has multiple abortions, gets abused: verbally and/or physically..She'll def be set for like with emotional & physical scarring..What's daddy dearest gonna do then?! Ekkkk it just sounds like a plethora of horror :S

I thought it was bad enough when my mom told me that I should work at Hooters.

People need to stop having kids if they are not going to be good parents. I am with you Vedika...they need a license! I'm confused though...is she asking for advice?
  • edited December 2011
No, it was just an opinion/discussion starter.Someone heard the Dad calling into the radio asking for people's opinions on wha the wants for his daughter.

Ok, lol. Just making sure because I know on P&E they are not afriad to rip people a new one! lol

That is ridiculous.... I can't believe a FATHER (of all people) would be suggesting that. Some "parents" really make me sick. Financial security does not counteract the irreparable damage on her emotional, occupational, psychological, physical future (and more!).
