I feel naked....

I dropped my e-ring off at the jeweler to get rodium dipped, cleaned and polished. After wearing it everyday for almost 2 years, I feel naked without it. I've already freaked out a couple times when I realize its not there lol Its going to be a long 2 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that its done early!

Mine was at the jeweler for 48 hours and I wore my Tiffany's ring that FI gave me in place.  I HAD to have a ring on that finger.  So strange...

Out of curiosity, why will the jeweler have it for 2 weeks? That seems like an awful long time.

Good point. Mine needed it for 2 days because he was making a wax mold of it. For the cleaning, dipping, and polishing, FI's taking it on Thursday and just waiting for it. Methinks you need a new jeweler? Or are they OOT?

When we were at Kay's having the 6-month inspection and cleaning, I freaked when I realized I didn't have my ring on...FI was like "Uhhh DUH...They are cleaning it..." I felt like such a dork...

hmm.. I think they send it out. We had FIs ring designed and made through them, and someone from a different store came to meet with us. It might not take that long, but they said if they get really busy it could take 2 weeks, so I dunno. We go through Gordon's, but its just a small one in the mall, so I don't think they do as much stuff on site.

Ana- thats funny, and I've definitely done that too. I felt so stupid since I had just handed it to them a minute before lol But I had been wandering around looking at other stuff while I waited. Its crazy how your mind works with stuff like that.

I hear ya! I felt so weird without my e-ring when it was getting cleaned, even though Kay's does it while-u-wait. I haven't gotten either of my rings cleaned since the wedding...but it even felt strange when I switched my e-ring to my right hand before the ceremony! (How's THAT for being dorky? LOL)
