FI & I picked out a cake & design a few months back..This was one area he was SUPER excited about and in making a decision of what flavors and designs we would have for the cake. I let him take the reigns on this one and he did a fabulous job. Thing is, the last few weeks, I've been contemplating the design he chose (a circular motif/pattern) [IMG]http://i36.tinypic.com/fnsd8l.jpg
[/IMG]While it's a whimsical, cute design, I have always wanted something a bit more formal/traditional like quilting or swirls. Me telling him how I feel about the design isn't an issue..The issue is I don't want him to feel like he did a "bad" job or picked out the wrong thing. Bottom line: Since he took so much pride in taking up the cake business, I don't want to steal his thunder or hurt his feelings. I've been trying to research ways of incorporating the two, but it looks a little weird. Any ideas/advice/suggestions?
