Locations. Locations, Locations

Ahhh @_@. Does anyone know of a venue that is reasonable in price for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception? I am absolutely blown away of how expensive it is per person. I've checked out Heathrow and Timacuan's Country Clubs and the beginning plate amount is $65. Is that a reasonable price? That seems quite lofty in my opinion. If you have any suggestions of places let me know! Thanks ladies!

Yes!I am getting married at Royal St. Cloud Gold Links and I think it is a pretty amazing place and has awesome scenery! The plates start at 37 and go up from there. I think it is reasonably priced and the venue is absolutely gorgeous.Take a look for yourself and let me know what you think!www.royalcrestroom.comclick on wedding photo gallery or something on the left side. U welcome! It is a gorgeous place, and depending on how many people you have, it wont be as much as other places. Plus...it's on a golf course so there are SOOO many hidden places to take pictures! I think that was what really won us over. Also, I'm pretty sure that if you wanted to go through the menu and pick things off of the lunch menu, they would let you do so. If you want me to send you a copy of the menu (the pdf file) e-mail me at pierre dot jessica at gmail dot com

Check out Lake Mary Event Center.  It is gorgeous and they have a list of caterers you can use.  Also, understand what the prices include.  Some may seem lower until you need to go out and rent a lot of stuff. GL!

I looked at the Lake Mary event center and it was pretty as well. I just didn't like that they don't let you have candles :(. We want to do a unity candle and they don't permit that outside. But that place is still in mind as well.Thank you!

Did you inquire about a Sunday wedding? They are usually a little less expensive. Try the Winter Park Civic Center. Good luck.

i was a little disapointed about the candle thing too.  We ended up doing a sand ceremony and the officiant AND the planner said that tends to work out a little better outside anyhow.  One wind and all of your candles are out.  GL!

Try the Taproom at Dubsdread. I didn't have my ceremony there but they have a beautiful outdoor courtyard where they hold ceremonies :) My reception was inside and I loved it -- and it was just about half what you were quoted per plate for a plated meal :)
    That's Mrs.skWhitneyAmanda to you!

you know where i got married...since you were there, and all. haha.

haha yeah! Will that hold 125 people though Sarah? That's my only concern. The place was very pretty but I wasn't sure it could accommodate that many people.
