Okay sorry I know this has been asked on here before so I apologize for being redundant... What do I have to do to change my name leagaly? Do I just go to the DMV first with my SS card and marraige license? Then I go to SS with new license and SS card? Once that is done I have to have work change my name on all their documents. When I go to change my name on bank accounts do I have to bring anything special? Thanks girls!

    I went to the SS office first, then the DMV. Jessica(Blonde407) sent me a handy name-change kit in PDF form that really helped. The list in that kit suggested the SS office first thing. I can send it your way if you'd like; just need your email address :)

    Jessica is on a cruise this week, I think, so you might not hear back from her for a while. :)For sure, go to the SS office first. Here is the address: 5520 Gatlin Avenue, Suite 102 Orlando, FL 32812 FYI, they stop taking people around 3:30, so if you go right before that time, you might not have to wait as long as if you went earlier in the day. I only waited for 30-45 minutes! Not too shabby. Oh and BTW, you're not allowed to use cell phones while in there, so bring a book or a magazine!This website will give you more info about the process: http://tinyurl.com/yf9o3coThen, you can go to the DMV. There is a DMV (sign says auto tag agency) only about 2 blocks away from the SS office, so you can make a day out of it! And just so you know, you WILL take a new picture, so make sure to look pretty! :)Here is the address: 4576 S Semoran BlvdOrlando, FL 32822-2408When I went to the bank to change my name, they only wanted to see my new drivers' license. (and maybe my marriage license, I can't remember) Also interesting, when I called to change my name on my credit cards, they didn't need any other information.
