Mother/Son dance...

ok, so the only song we haven't figured out yet is the Mother/Son dance. FMIL is "thinking about it" but we really need to get this done. So what did you use or what do you plan on using? FI is the youngest and only son (and the first to get married) but he doesn't want anything sappy.

we used "Your Song" by elton john. they didnt want anything sappy, either!

DH and MIL danced to What a Wonderful World. He wanted something super short and not mushy. That fit the bill.

This is the great debate in our house. FI thinks every song is sappy and doesn't want it. Right now number 1 in the running is 'thank you for being a friend,' you know, the Golden Girls theme song.... I'm staying out of it. LOL

well, FI and I had pretty decided on Your Song, when FMIL called and told us she wants to use the Elvis version of Can't Help Falling in Love. Totally not FI's style but we're glad she found a song she wants to use.
