Wedding Update

Okay... so, here are some of the ways the issues I was having during planning panned out:Sweaty hands -  I had a hanky that was my grandmother's warpped around my bouquet and it helped.  Also, I just kept thinking calm thoughts and didn't think about my hands (or tried not to).  The rings were snug going on, but all was okay!Veil - During pictures in the Church, Robert stepped on my veil (super freaking long) and it ripped a bit so we all decided it was best OFF!Nails - I got the pink/whites.  I just cut them when I got home, but I'm glad I did it because my nails were so short and not nice looking when I went in for my manicure.Football game - We didn't turn it on.  Only my little brother asked about the tv's in a casual (non - assshole way) and I said the tv's don't work so he just was like okay whatever.  No one else asked or said anything about it the whole night.Uninvited guests - Only one.  One of my weird cousins brought his weirder girlfriend.  It was fine as far as I know.  She just sat at his table... No one even said anything to me, but I knew she was an unexpected.Other than that, we didn't have anyone that wasn't invited show up, or anyone that RSVP'd no that did come or RSVP'd yes that didn't come.I think those were my pre-wedding "issues" or the things that I was most worried about.Feel free to ask any questions.I'm still working on my honeymoon review and I'll post pics of my for sale stuff soon!:)

That's pretty awesome that only one person showed up, and everyone else that was supposed to be there came!

alexia did u have a menu choice and like an rsvp card? and they STILL brought someone? i had everyone choose their dinner so i am hoping they got the hint they cant just bring someone they didnt invite on the rsvp. I am doing the EXACT amt of seats at each table so i dunno what the heck will happen if someone comes unexpectedly. My wedding is this friday so i am OFFICIALLY freaking out lol

Congrats!!! Foto...I would say if you don't have a spot for them and you can't squeeze them in anywhere than that is their fault for not RSVPing and I would have someone take care of it and tell them there is no room for any unexpected guests...I have weird relatives myself and I just decided not to invite because we are not that close...

Foto, we had a buffet, so there was plenty of food.  It really didn't annoy me so much that she was there except she was really weird. Also, I don't think it matters how much you prepare/plan, people are unexpected and do unexpected things.  It's best to just roll with it.  Your caterer should be able to handle a situation like that. For me, I didn't even know until I went around the tables and saw her when I was saying hello.  She had a charger, a chair, and her place was set without me even knowing...

Oh man, I just remembered some of the things that went "wrong":We took some pictures at my house in the front yard... when I got out of the grass, my ivory satin heels were COVERED in dirt.  My mom started freaking out and my sisters could tell I was trying not to worry but she was stressing me out - so my older sister got a damp cloth and just wiped my shoes off for me... so, I had dirty shoes before I even made it to the Church.  I didn't really care though.  The shoes are fine and who looks at the heel anyway? My grandparents didn't wait to get escorted down the aisle.  They're old and my grandma has really bad knees... they just went and sat down when they got there.  Some people noticed and said something but my mom's response was: "What do you want me to do? Go down there and tell them to walk back up so they can walk back down?" lol, I love my mom.Card box: I asked my friend if I could borrow her bird cage from her wedding. She left it at home.  She called me and apologized and was coming up with back up ideas (she lives 2 hours away and this was the day before the wedding).  I told her not to worry that I would spray paint a basket silver and we'd throw it on the gift table.  Well, I never did this.  All the guests handed their cards to me, Robert, or my Dad... it was a little funny cause my dad has quite the personality and he'd call himself the money collector.  It was cute.Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that things go wrong... shiit happens, but it's how you handle it that matters!
