Well this has been a crazy ride and I am so glad to get off the roller coaster!!
I could not have done it without theknot who provided me with the best wedding coordinator in the world (Charisma Moran:
www.charismamoranevents.com), an amazing hair and makeup artist (Meghann Davis:
www.makeupbymeghann.com), off the hook professional and student musicians for a steal (
Valerie Pernice: www.classicmix.org/about.html) and the best wedding photographer a girl could ever want (Nicole Faust: retroblingjewels@gmail.com). Thank you to you wonderful ladies for your advice, you amazing stories that you share every day and for the constant support. Here is the advice I can pass on:
- Spend the money to hire a reliable DJ... do NOT hire your brother's friend for 1/10th of the normal DJ price and end up having to buy two wireless microphones 2 hours before the reception and playing songs from your itunes because his equipment won't work!!!
- The day goes by so quickly, little things won't matter on that special day so try to relax and enjoy the ride
- Don't plan on eating your meal because I was so nervous and excited that I had two bites! But try to eat something, you don't want to be passing out!
- Take the time to go around every table and thank the guests for traveling to your wedding.
- You can't please everyone. There will always be someone that's angry about their seat or some other mundane detail that will not matter on that day. Accept the fact that you can't please all your guests/wedding party.
- Don't go on your honeymoon leaving a dirty house behind. Trust me you will appreciate coming home to a nice, clean place after a 15 hour flight!!
- Dance!!!! As much as you can
(that is if the music is actually playing and the DJ knows how to press play on a laptop)
Again thank you for a wonderful 6 months of planning. Try not to go crazy, in the end, all that matters is the one you get to kiss at the end of the aisle.... and the pictures!!
