Help me pick an all inclusive!!

I'm getting bored of looking all day...
So I don't care WHERE it is but here's what we're looking for:
- Couples Only
-Great food/drink
-On beach
-An awesome room with jacuzzi or pool IN it
-Scuba options
-Activity options
-Horseback riding?

Can anyone make a recommendation?!?! :D  It's for June 2010

Re: Help me pick an all inclusive!!

  • We are huge fans of Palace Resorts. Check our LeBlanc or Sun Palace, both are all adult AIs. I have not personally been to LB but they are rate #1 on tripadvisor.com in Cancun.

We have been to Sun Palace a couple of times and just love it there. The beach is on of the best in Cancun, 2 person jacuzzi in each room (no extra charge), food is very good and you can dine at SP or other Palace Resorts for additional dining options (no reservations required nor limits on number of visits per restaurant). 24 hr room service is also included along with all your drinks, well stock in room mini fridge and 4 liquor dispensers. They also include some excursions to ruins, zipline, Wet N Wild, snorkeling and more. You can book additional excursions thru their guest services. Service is outstanding!

Resorts are located in Cancun, Cozumel, Riviera Maya, Playa Del Carmen, Isla Mujeres and they have a new Moon Palace in Dominican Republic.
  • I would HIGHLY recommend any of the Excellence resorts (Playa Mujeres or Riviera Maya in Mexico and one in the Dominican Republic). They are All Inclusive, Adult Only. All of the rooms have a jacuzzi and you can upgrade to a room with a private terrace and hydrospa pool if you want it. We just got back from Playa Mujeres...and I am dying to go back! The food and drinks were awesome. The service was awesome. I truly cannot say enough good things about it! There are several excursions you can go on..including scuba diving, snorkeling, ziplining, horseback riding, etc. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions...email is thecatsfancy at yahoo. :)

  • I'd check out Excellence Playa Mujeres or The Royal Cancun.

  • Ditto on Palace Resorts!!!!!  We stayed at Aventura Spa Palace last December and it was awesome!!!  We visited the other Palace resorts in the area too (stay at one play at all policy) and Aventura was by far the nicest.  A lot of the time they offer free excursions with your trip and upgrade honeymooners so make sure you check into that.  Oh, and definately upgrade your transfer from the airport (no matter where you go) so you don't have to stop at a bunch of other resorts before you get to yours bc it can take awhile depending on how many stops you have to make.  It's well worth the money!  Good luck!

This 100%!!  We were at Aventura in October.  Palace resorts are great, but Aventura was the nicest!  And DEFINITELY upgrade your transfers, you won't regret it.  The alternative (what we did) is being in the van for 2 hours dropping other people off first.

Sport Diiver listed Breezes in Curacao as one of the best places to dive in the world.  It doesn't have the seclusion/couples only that you were looking for, but Curacao is still considered one of the Caribbean's best kept secrets.

Or Laguna Beach Resort in Utila, Honduras.  Again, not couples only, but it is private and secluded.  It's probably one of the most beautiful places in the world (I was there last January on a scuba trip) - and also listed in Sport Diver's best places to dive.  Since the focus is on diving, children a a rarity.  And they do have horseback riding.

We had basically the same criteria, and we're definitely torn between these two.
