No veil....Can we still do a filipino veil ceremony?

I don't want to wear a veil for the ceremony, but my FI would like to do the veil ceremony....is it acceptable to just have a veil put over us both during the ceremony? The only time I have seen it done was when the bride wore a veil for the entire ceremony and it was just brought over and pinned to the groom, so I wasn't sure.

I think for all of the weddings in my family, there were two veils. The bride wore one and then a separate veil was used to pin to the couple. I think it would be fine to just have the one for the veil ceremony.

It' easier done when the bride has a veil on already since that's where they usually pin the other veil. Maybe it can be pinned to your hair/headpiece or sleeve instead? Or worst scenario, you can hold on to it, it doesn't take that long to do the veil ceremony.
