Cozumel in July?

Fi and I are thinking about going to Cozumel between July 11-18th for our honeymoon.  The prices are really affordable.  However, July is also the beginning of hurricane season...Is anyone going to Cozumel around this time?  Anyone worried about the chance of storms?  Thanks!

I've been to Cozumel during the first week of August and although it was very hot it never rained nevermind thunderstorms or a hurricane.

The prices are so low because so many people freak out about hurricane season and need an incentive to go. If this is the place you guys chose for your HM and love it then book it! Just make sure you get trip insurance in the event of bad weather and go have an awesome HM!

I honestly wouldn't worry about it, the chances of there actually being a hurricane hit the island while on your HM are so small. That's why I always suggest to get the trip insurance and enjoy the great discount of going during that time! Keep in mind that July and August are huge travel times for a lot of people because school is out, and not many people let hurricane season stop their travel plans to Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean during that time. HTH! :0)

june 1 is the beginning of hurricane season btw.
go and have fun. if you're concerned look into trip insurance which will cover for cancellation/interruption due to weather.

We went with a group of friends.  We were there from July 5-12.  There was spotty rain one day, but for the most part it was gorgeous.  Very hot though, bring lots of sunscreen!

I was going to say you usually hear more about hurricanes in mid-late August.  I'd be willing to bet you'll be fine.
