Anyone Honeymoon on Hvar island, Croatia???

Hi All,

I was thinking possible of going to Hvar, Croatia on my honeymoon and wanted to see if anyone else has been there. If anyone can give me feed back on where you stayed, how you like it and did you find it worth the trip.

I didn't honeymoon there, but I've been there. We stayed in a house (went with a big group), but while we were there they opened a really nice hotel right on the water pretty much in the center of town. No clue on name or rates, but it looked nice and was well located.

Hvar itself is fun - a bunch of bars to go out, a fort/castle up on a hill you can hike up to - but I don't know how long you'd want to be there. One day we rented motor boats and went out to a small island, and on another day we took a water taxi to a different island (Palmizana). And then we did a couple days just in town. The beaches on Hvar are rocky, so it's not a place to just go lie on the sand. After Hvar we took the ferry to Dubrovnik, which was really gorgeous and had things to do. I think that would be a great trip, 4 or so days in each place.
