Mexican Rivera Cruise…any tips?

FI and I will be setting sail in just about one month for our honeymoon…straight for our wedding.
My biggest question is what kind of charges could I encounter on my T-Mobile phone? I have now called twice and got different answers. My main concern is I want to be able to update my facebook status and photos. –I was told I should turn my data roaming OFF for the whole time, since I would be charged for every email I recive, but I can text for .35 a time…
That and what would you do, or have done, that you can recommend (on both the actual cruise ship—we are both first timers-and the ports) We are going to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.
What is a "must pack"
THANKS!!

  • We did Ziplining in Puerto Vallarta and had a blast.  Highly recommend it!

  • You will HAVE to post about it when you get back! I am doing the SAME cruise only in sept! So super excited..will be our first to the mexican riviera..are you going carnival or royal carribean?

Have you been on any cruise before or is this your very first? There is a good show to watch which gives good tips for any and all cruises on the travel channel...if you have a dvr of some sort look for it and record it. Its called cruising dos and donts I think. Very good tips for first timers. What to expect and what to pack.

I know from going to mexico previously stay on the paths..dont go wondering away from public places, dont drink ANY tap water. Buy sealed bottled water. Bring bug spray and sunscreen. Pack fairly lightly to make up for shopping..most people do alot of shopping in mexico. Things are VERY cheap and you CAN negotiate prices with most vendors. Negotiate before you show your money..if they see you have a 20 and your trying to talk them into 10 they wont budge. lol
