Sandals Dunn's is closing??

I just contacted the TA we are going to use and she said Dunn's is closing.  Why would Sandals close a hotel?  So now back to the drawing board!

I just booked my 1 yr anniv trip for next month and i was between dunns and ochos rios.  my TA said nothing about it closing.  i know that whitehouse closed down for ahwile for renovations.

I don't know when..but for my dates in August (FI is a teacher and that is the first time we can go) it will be closed at that point!

Do you have any more info on this?  My SIL is going there next July.

That's really sad!  My husband and I went there for our honeymoon; we were looking forward to returning at some point down the road.

Then again, that article is kind of vague.  Maybe Sandals is just trying to play hardball with the owner to negotiate a better lease. 

I just went to the website to see if it will still let you book past May 31st, and it does.  Not sure what they plan on doing about those who have booked if they do decide to terminate their lease.
