Hawaii Honeymoon Suggestions

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for Hawaii in the beginning of November. Islands to go, places to stay, restaurants. Please and thank you!

It really depends what kind of trip you want. We did Oahu on our HM (more details in married bio) and absolutely LOVED it. We liked that there was always something going on, something to do, but we could still kick back at the pool or beach and just relax. There is also the North Shore of Oahu which is much less crowded than the Waikiki area. However, if you don't want anything busy and just want a truly relaxing trip, I have heard amazing things about Kuaui.

The islands are so different--my advice would be to go to the Official Hawaii Tourism website. That's where I went when we were deciding on an island. They have an in-depth look at all 6 major islands, with sample itineraries, info on hotels, restaurants, activities, etc. and you can really get a feel for which one might suit your interests. There's also always the option of going to two islands on your trip.

If you happen to decide on Oahu, I would be more than happy to give you restaurant/hotel/activity suggestions.

  • Have you done a search on this board? There are a TON of posts with resort recs and island recs. As pp said, it does depend on what type of trip you want and your budget and visiting the Hawaii Tourism website is a great way to start!

  • We went to Maui Nov. 916. Review and pics in my bio.
  • We're going to Maui in July, so excited! stephaniehall-I just went through your bio, HM section. Very helpful, thank you! We will be renting a jeep and plan to do the Road to Hana ourselves, just need to get a map/CD to help us along. I think our agent set us up wit the Old Lahaina Luau, so was glad to see someone recommend that. And a sunset cruise/sunrise hike is a must. We're also planning for a couple other day activities, like snorkeling or RTV tour. We will be staying at the Hyatt-agent said it can be family friendly, but less so than most. I don't mind some crowds, just don't want to be overwhelmed.

Just our of curiousity...what would you do differently, or what would you adamantly recommend if you could do it all over again this July?

((sorry to hijack your thread but maybe I'll help you get more answers/ideas!!))
