We ALMOST booked Couples San Souci in Jamaica. But after scouring reviews I think that I would be disapointed with the amenities. The hotel has not been upgraded in years and many reviews say that although the food and staff are great the place is "shabby" - not what I want to hear. Sept is hurricane season in many torpical locales but I'm just going to have to deal with that I believe. I have been a world traveler my whole life but usually on my parent's dime when it came to trips like this, so I'm used to the 4 or 5 star resorts. I think I may have to come to terms with the fact that we can't get what we want for our budget but if anyone has any suggestions that might work I would LOVE to hear them!!
I have been to the DR twice and to Belize for a month in college so I'd rather go somewhere else, but if there is the perfect resort I'm willing to go back!
