Shoes at an outdoor wedding...

I am getting married in September on an island in Maine, the whole wedding, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception will be outside on the grass.  My bridesmaids and I are thinking about wearing wedge heels, obviously now there are so many great styles but we're thinking then we won't have to worry about sinking in the grass..etc....I guess my pause is that I never pictured wearing wedges at my wedding but it would make it alot easier Any thoughts?

Wedges are a good idea. I think they look fine with wedding dresses. Plus, most people won't seem them from the side, they might see them from the front when you walk and for pictures.

They sell clear plastic things that go over high heals. I have-not tried them, but I plan on getting them for my BM and myself. This is the website! Hope it helps!!!

I got wedges as well.

They don't have to be the woven or cork heeled kind. Mine are all satin. PIB.

I found some Indian Bridal Shoes. Found them on Amazon for a fantastic price thru a place in Florida. Hand beaded and beautiful. After the ceremony, I plan to wear sandals, instead of going barefoot.

Me and my girls are wearing Old Navy flip flops. I think wedges would definitely be approriate, as well.
