jamaica or st. lucia all inclusives?

my fiance and i are looking to go to either st. lucia or jamaica for our honeymoon in jan. we cant decide where to stay and i was wondering if anyone had any advice? We want to stay at an all inclusive resort thats adults only. Anyone have any recommendations?

We've been to Beaches in Jamacia (which is the sister resort to Sandals- but kid friendly). We had a great time and there really weren't that many kids there. The price was decent too. Dunn River Falls was fun and we swam with the dolphins which was awesome - but to be truthful, I didn't feel too safe leaving the resort property...

We haven't been to S. Lucia, but that is where we are going for our honeymoon (Sandals)!

We did St. Lucia for our HM and stayed at the Grande.  The island is gorgeous and very exotic.  Our TA arranged for us to take the helicopter from the airport to the resort so we didn't have to make the hour and half drive --that was the begining of an amazing adventure.  We did so many really cool things, like zip line, and hike the waterfalls/pigeon point, snorkel, learned to scuba dive and met some really cool couples.  We are now thinking of doing the Bahamas and the new Sandals for our anniversary as our TA told us there is a big discount when you go to Sandals for a second time.  Oh, just so you know, I haven't been to Jamaica so I can't really compare, but the pictures look lovely too.  My TA is Jennifer at VIP Vacations.  I would highly suggest her as she did a great job planning our HM and so many other knotties have recommended her.

We're going to Couples San Souci in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in August!! Can't wait!! We've heard awesome things as well.

I've been to both as shore excursions and I definitely preferred St. Lucia over Jamaica.

Vac exp- Vendors are not allowed here.

This is a tough decision, but I think you would really enjoy Jamaica. One resort chain I would check out is Secrets Resorts. I know they just opened two new resorts in Jamaica called Secrets Wild Orchid and Secrets St. James. I haven’t had a chance to travel there yet, but if they are anything like the Secrets in Mexico, then they will be fabulous. I recently vacationed to Secrets Maroma Beach and it was amazing. I am hoping to visit the resorts in Jamaica sometime soon. Good luck planning!
