I hadn't even thought about that! We have a bathroom basket but that is about it. I have only seen the Garden once and that was back in June. If I call my daughter and tell her we have to do something with the bathroom 18 days away from the wedding, she is going to kill me! Do you have any inexpensive ideas? What does your mom think?

I have been obsessed and driving my daughter crazy with the Banyan Room. She is having the entire reception in the garden area and the dancing on the terrace. She would be satisfied leaving the Banyan room empty but I am insistant something be in there so it doesn't look empty and like it's an afterthought. I wanted to put some lounge furniture in there but I was afraid if it rained and we had to move everything inside I would be stuck paying for furniture we can't use. We compromised and we are putting some round tables in there so guests can get out of the sun if they want.

How are you using all the spaces? My daughter and her fiance just met with Melissa tonight to finalize all the details and setup etc. Melissa is going to send her a diagram soon how everything will all be set up. I can't wait to see it.

Please let me know your ideas on the bathroom!

the wedding I worked in May....we took sheer curtain drapes and hung them around the the top of the stalls...we brought in a full length mirror in the ladies room and of course bathroom baskets in both restrooms....we also put two wall paintings that and hung them on the wall...for decorations.  It wasn't much, but it was something to spice up those plain, boring bathrooms!!

    Hope this helps you!

Dee, that's a great idea! That wouldn't cost much at all. I know IKEA has very inexpensive sheers and my daughter has some paintings in her apartment that match her wedding color scheme! A full length mirror is not expensive and she could use that afterwards in their apartment! I just emailed Melissa to see if she has any ideas from her other weddings she has done there.

Thank you dee that is awesome ideas! How big are the baskets? I know they had the corner thing when I went last month. Is that where you put them?
Joann I have no idea yet! My mom didn't have any suggestions just asked if they were going to spruce it up in which I laughed at.
OMG I have to wait until that close for a diagram on how things will be set up?!  I want to use the outside terrace for dining but FI wants to be inside with the AC. Maybe inside for dining and everything else outside.. I don't know.
Ikea is a great resource for decorations. I think I may try to go this weekend anyway.

I blocked the corner thing with the full length mirror and we bought in a plant stand and put the basket on that in the corner to the left as soon as you walk in.  There might be something in there already you can just put the basket on.  Just a simple wicker basket from Ross, that I weaved a satin ribbon matching her color scheme through the basket.  I still use the basket!, I changed the satin to match my wedding colors and used it for my wedding!

If you ask Melissa she can give you a basic sketch of how things will be set up. I think my daughter said she might be getting a PowerPoint presentation soon on how it will be set up. I might be wrong.
Melissa also said most brides don't even do anything with the bathroom and some do a bathroom basket which we are doing. My husband and I are flying down next Saturday, so I think I might take a trip to the Garden and check out the bathroom again. Then I'll decide if we need to do more. Melissa also mentioned draping but I have to see the area again.
